What is the Delaware River Wrestling League about ?
This league is all about the individual wrestler. The wrestlers are entered into a Matchman Program where your child is matched up by their age, weight and ability. They are given a rating system of 1 through 6, done by the coaches only, 1 being a beginner and 6 being older and advanced. Please click on the Ratings Guide link below for futher information.

Matches are either on Saturday or Sunday which run about 2 to 3 hours. Your child will wrestle about 2 or 3 matches in this time span. Your child could also wrestle 4 or more depending on his weight class.
In this league your child does not have to worry about their weight because there are no weigh-ins for these matches. Your child will be weighed three times during the course of the league season. In the beginning, the middle, and at the end for the League Torunament. We can not stress enough that a child needs to eat healthy in order to grow and develop properly.
About the Wildcat Club:
The coaches and board members number one priority is the wrestler. Our goal is to teach and prepare your child to compete on the mat. Second is the parents. Our Parent Booster Club will hold mandatory meetings once a month to answer any questions and to communicate to you how and what the club is doing. We feel communication is key in order for your child to succeed. A board member will always be present at practices to answer any of your questions.
Tournaments are done throughout the year and they are not mandatory. It is up to the parent and the wrestler if they want to come. We try to get as much mat time for your child as possible to give them the experience and confidence that they need.
We also need help during our 2 home league matches for the year with set up of the gym, running tables, and a very limited concession stand. We need your help...the coaches and board members can not do it alone.
