Wendy Pandy-Leh Wrestling Invitational

Our annual varsity tournament is dedicated to Wendy Pandy-Leh.  Wendy was an inspiration to both the Del Val wrestling family and the greater community who lost a long battle with cancer in May of 2014.  A Del Val graduate herself, Wendy joined the DV wrestling family when her son Codey joined the Wildcats elementary team and was a major contributor to the entire program, serving on several boards as Codey continued in the DV Jr. Terriers and then the high school.  Codey graduated DV in 2014.

 With her signature “Hey Kiddo” Wendy was a fixture running the home concessions stand and the tent at the Thousand Island Tournament. “Hey Kiddo” was usually followed by “Good job!” or “What happened out there?”  and you knew Mrs. Leh expected an answer.  Her unfailing common sense and good humor will be fondly remembered and greatly missed.
